How did the iKE Center get it's name:

When I  tutored in Fort Smith I had a fidget toy that was a squishy dog. The kids loved Spaghetti Rice, that was his name.  They named him this beacuse his hair looked like spaghetti and his whiskers looked like rice. I knew if I ever tutored on my own, this well loved dog would be a part of my story. Spaghetti Rice started  as a cute toy and is now the inspiration for our mascot! He has been renamed,  IKE! Spaghetti Rice can still be found in Heather's office.

iKE's name also stands for Individualized Knowledge and Enrichment. This is what our tutoring center represents.

I've got
questions.

Why the iKE Center for tutoring?

I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham method and have over 12 years of experience teaching homeschool classes. I have tutored for the Los Angeles school district, tutored at a tutoring center in Fort Smith, providing services in-person and via Zoom. Since passing the KPEERI exam, I am one step closer to officially obtaining my dyslexia interventionist certificate!

I have hours of tutoring students from pre-k through high school in a variety of subject matters. I have been mentored by Kelli Cole, of KC Tutoring, who oversaw my Orton-Gillingham training and the opportunity to work with some amazing students!

I specialize in reading intervention, ELA, and writing, as well as tutoring in other subjects.

I welcome all students of all ages and learning styles, working with parents and teachers to achieve progress and have a commitment to personalized learning for Individual Success!
